For Bow Street...

We have had rain, rain, thunderstorms, rain and more rain.  The ice is going out of the ground.  The mud is beyond words this year.  The horses are now locked in a small sacrifice area and everybody is a bit crazy.  I think you'll notice though, that Ramsey is feeling pretty sound lately!:)

  1. i love the mud on your camera lens LOL and yes Ramsey looks great, there is not a hint of lameness. What fun they are having. Do you have to keep his hoof wrapped out in the rain and mud, I couldnt see any duct tape. And are those quik fences already set up like that or do you move them all the time?

    1. Ramsey's foot is naked and has been for about 5 weeks now. The mud has me worried, but they still spend most of their time in the barn away from it so I am just keeping a close watch on thins for now.

The fence is set up, but I move it as needed.

  2. They are definitely all feeling a hint of spring in the air! I'm amazed that they aren'yt all covered in mud - mine line up every morning to take turns in their mud bath :))

    1. Emma and Ramsey hate, HATE the mud and would not lay down in it for a whole bag of carrots. They feel the same way about snow. Tessa usually avoids the mud as well if she can, but Gabe...

  4. I suspect everyone will be very happy when the nice green grass grows in.

  5. Aw, he still runs like he did as a baby. So cute :-). Your horses are handsome too! We went from too much mud to cracked ground with dust blowing everywhere. Ugh.

  6. Once again, I cannot see the video from this computer, but will watch it tonight.

We are alternating between mud and snow here. My pasture had a food of water in yesterday, to day it is under another 6" of snow.

  7. I will probably say this for every post every day when I come read your blog, but they're so cute. They make me smile. I need a donkey (or five).

  8. Arrggghhh, computers! My first comment went into the ether when the Blogger thingy asked for my mobile phone - I don't have one and tried to skip it, but this time it got hung up. Anyway, I accomplished the deed on another blog and came back to tell you I love the video! Your boys and girls look so happy and frisky - they're delightful! I can't believe that tiny baby donkey is now so big. He looks like he never had a problem.

  9. Ramsey is moving well. They sure were all having fun, especially when your horses joined in! Nice that they all respect the movable fence, not sure how mine would do with one - but like most everything, it's getting used to/training. Yes, the muddy lens puts it all into perspective (pun intended)!! Hoping the weather clears up for all of us, sooner then later.
