Sunday Stills - Summer Time

This weeks challenge is summer time and what it means for me.  Summer time means berries for breakfast each day when Tanner and I go out walking...

Tanner loves berries too and picks his own along the way...

Summer is swimming in the pond (hopefully, I'll get to join these guys in my own pond next year)...

Sun through the trees...

The Queen Ann's Lace popping up everywhere (except for the horse pastures, since another name for this plant is wild carrot.  It never makes it to the blossom stage with equines around:)...

When I drive, I see these along the roadsides, massing in the hundreds.  They remind me of huge satellite arrays I've seen photos of.  I always get mental images of bunches of little gnomes or elves working unseen to get their Queen Ann's Lace arrays tuned in properly.  Sometimes, I make up stories in my head about what they might be communicating to one another...the places my mind wanders to when given a chance....

Summer means grass growing and mowing...

And for some here, summer means the occasional nap in the shade.

  1. Great selection of summer shots. Mowing is NOT my hubby's favorite summer chore! It has been growing too fast this year.

  2. I like your view of summer, looks wonderful, except not sure I would want to swim with the frogs.

  5. It's so funny when dogs pluck fresh produce, they are no dummies. I like that second to last shot, nice bokeh. Emma shading her baby is too cute!

  7. Awww! I love that last photo...and how funny that they chose to rest in the bare circle instead of on the grass....perhaps it's an enchanted Fairy circle...and the fairies are sending messages via the QAL Sattelite Arrays?

    :D

    1. You may have hit on something here. I've always wondered what all those QAL's are aimed at, it must be donkey ears! A mystery solved:) Thanks!
