We got one grass carp for our pond back in Hartwick about 12 years ago. It was about 12 inches then and has grown to a good 3 feet in those years. It is the best solution to any grass or algae, weeds, etc. in ponds and survived many many winters in that small pond that was only 20 Feet deep and maybe 30x60 in size. I don't know how it survived but each year we were amazed it did and how big it got. It was our "Nessie" ! Good luck with yours.
I love your random reviews. Such great variety and wonderful critters.
ReplyDeleteGreat snake picture, and of course beautiful Bess too.
ReplyDeleteLovely shots showing the peace of your farm. That's a beautiful garter snake. I also love the sheep peeking around the hay pile. :)
