Following Directions

I decided to teach myself how to crochet this summer/fall.  I choose crochet over knitting because I had a lesson in crochet when I was maybe 6ish from a grandmother I've only met a handful of times.  I figured that made me close enough to an expert and I should just dive in.

Anyway, the yarn I found on sale for cheap suggested that I make a sweater.  Who am I to argue?

  1. I can crochet. Never could get the hang of knitting.

  2. Cute! I've always liked crocheting a bit more than knitting. But that is because I was an awful knitter as a kid.
Did you make a dog coat?
    Cute!

  3. 'Your' sweater looks great! Nice even stitch tension. Looks like it will fit too :)
My Mom tried to teach me to knit when I was a kid. When that didn't work she switched me to crochet and I did that for 40+ years. 50 years later and with a lot of help from my friends I learned to knit.

  4. Well, look at you! The pandemic has it's perks - I hope you never have to drive to work again.

  6. It's perfect! I've taught myself to crochet so many times, but it never sticks. I've made scarves and washcloths but then I got brave and started an afghan. Five rows in and I had a problem...that was four years ago and it's still in the bag in the closet!
