Is the Suspense Killing you?

It took me a little while to figure out how Ramsey could go about choosing a winner for his birthday present as I had quite a long list of names.  I skipped over duplicate messages and the anonymous one that had no name attached to it.  I wish I could send all of you some jam, but it is a very scarce commodity.  I wasn't sure I'd even manage to come up with one jar in time for Ramsey's birthday so that is all I've got.

I finally decided to make use of one of Ramsey's newly acquired juvenile delinquent skills.  It seems fitting.  He has suddenly become very impatient for his breakfast and does not think I move quick enough with his meager rations so he has taken to pawing at the door thinking this will make me move faster.  He hasn't figured out yet that the opposite is true.  I refuse to feed any of them when they are acting like brats and breakfast won't be forthcoming until he stands quietly.  Emma and Tessa learned this long ago, but my Little-Brown-Brat has not caught on yet.
I've watched this about 500 hundred times and I am pretty sure I count 14 paws which means that Quailtree gets some goodies.  If I counted all the comments right that is, I just went down the line of comments and gave each a number.  If I goofed, well we'll just have to call it a random choice.  That works too right?  That's my story and I'm stickin' to it.  So, congratulations Quailtree!  Send me an email with your address to aerissana at gmail dot com and I'll mail it out as soon as I can, which sometimes takes a bit as the darned PO is only open a few hours in the morning and I have to sleep some time!

  7. Yikes! Hope he's pawing with his "good" foot - lol! When I feed in the barn, I have a crowd to greet me (4 hungry donkeys) So I have taught Dorica a cue "touch the wall" which means she has to go into her stall and touch the wall with her nose until I get there. She knows that cue so well, but she'll test me every time, hoping I'll forget to say it and she can snatch someone else's hay on the way.
Good for you for not reinforcing the pawing!

  8. Good mother! Congratulations to the winner of your yummy jam! (and I'm still wondering how you manage time to make it)!
I think all teenagers are impatient for their meals. I think George or Alan tried the same thing on Carson. She had a video too.

    1. I made the jam a few weeks ago on one of our innumerable horrible weather days. It doesn't really take very long to make, only about a half hour once you have all of the paraphernalia and ingredients gathered. The hard part, picking all the berries, was done last year. This year's berries should be getting ripe in a couple of weeks if they make it through all the crazy weather.
