100% success rate for the ticks, 0 for all my control efforts. Oh, and there is a shortage of doxycycline. We're really on a roll now.
Sarcasm aside, if you live in the area, you might want to get you and your critters checked. I know of many other cases of Lyme in the area, it is epidemic.
If you really can't get doxy, i've heard that teasel root tincture works well for dogs. Not sure about donkeys but it's worth some research if necessary. We haven't used allopathic antibiotics at all (a combo of too hard to find a lyme aware doc here and me being surer sensitized to drugs now) and we're still getting better.
ReplyDeleteDamn. i'm going to contact my holistic vet, just in case she has a good suggestion.
ReplyDeleteI am so happy you suggested that with Kate. She is doing great now, after her round of Doxy. Can I send you some from the vet here???

ReplyDeleteNot sure, that last post that came in here might have looked like it came from my son, Quinn.
Here's another site--much cheaper.http://www.1800petmeds.com/Doxycycline+Compounded-prod90235.html?q=doxycycline
ReplyDeletei am SO sorry!
ReplyDeleteSo very sorry to hear this, and praying you don't have it!
ReplyDeleteSorry to hear this and hope you can get the doxy soon. Maybe Sara can help.
ReplyDeleteAnd it is horrendously expensive also....we had a dog with Lyme disease and it cost one arm and one leg to get the meds.
ReplyDeleteThe vet felt bad about it. This was over a year ago.
What's up to all, how is all, I think every one is getting more from this website, and your views are fastidious in favor of new
