Bad news: It is still really cold.
Good news: It might get to 30 degrees by the end of the week - heat wave!
Bad news: I am once again battling the plague. I blame Farm Buddy. She said just last week, when we were whining about the weather, "at least we aren't sick, that would really make it bad". I knew right then that I was doomed.
Good news: Revenge is at hand. She was fawning over her favorite cat, Skip (one of six, which is why she is NOT allowed to keep any more throw-aways). Better known as Skip-to-my-Loo...
or Skip-to-my-Loo-my-Sweet-Baboo (this is supposed to be sung in a sing-song whilst dancing around with cat in hand). I was told I wasn't allowed to tell anyone that, but hey, the secret is safe with all of you right?
The rest of the menagerie...
The one good picture I managed to take of the kittens...
PS - for those who asked about the brown horse, that was Suki, my old mare. She is enjoying her retirement in the Adirondacks. I wrote about her here.
I think that all of us who dote on our pets have names for them besides their actual name. Bosco answers to Mr. B, B Man, Bosco-roo (because he used to jump like a kangaroo), Captain Copter, Bosco-matic and Sir Bosc, among many others. Also others more mushy than he will allow me to reveal. :-)
ReplyDeleteOh yeah, now I remember you writing about Sukie...Farm Buddy is a big Softy!! I'll bet she keeps that little red head!! :)
ReplyDeleteThose kittens are adorable! I love all the cats. Wish Poppy liked cats as much as I do...we would have more than two. Hope you feel better soon!
ReplyDeleteBetter keep a good eye on that Skip. He is so loveabale someone may be tempted to covet him. The kittens are so precious. My Calico won't tolerate another cat, but I would like to have two kitties. Thanks for update on Suki (NOW I remember.) Good life, Suki.
ReplyDeleteoh, who can't fall in love with kittens and cats! :) little spazzy fur monsters!
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful horse, I had to go read about her!
ReplyDeleteAwww you are too much fun! Which we were close enough to be neighbors, what fun we'd have.
Hope you feel better and hope a warm up is in store for you.
You should know that it is Skip-Ta-Ma-Lou My Darling, who also happens to be my Sweet Baboo! Get these things straight!!!
ReplyDeleteFarm Buddy!!! are you keeping the little red head kitten?
DeleteNo she's NOT! We'd be glad to hold that one for you though. Actually, you really ought to have two. That way, they can play together and keep each other company - just like donkeys. Which two would you like?:)
DeleteIf Joe weren't allergic to cats, I'd be just like Farm Buddy!!!
DeleteThose kittens are adorable - Definitely 2 is best option. Wish I wasn't on the other side of the country, they could become California Kittens!!! ( Having 4 already what is two more)? Always trying to get the word out, SPAY AND NEUTER, but these darling babies, having been abandoned, are now in the best of hands. I'm sure you will find good homes for these babies! Will read about your horse Suki
ReplyDeleteFarm Buddy... Busted... so busted. I'm glad Tessa is better!
ReplyDeleteAwww, who could abandon that adorable sweet kitty face?!! I predict the red headed kitty stays...
ReplyDeleteI sure hope you don't have the nasty influenza that I had. Hope you feel better soon.
Yep my ginger boy has lots of names. His formal name is Cyrano de Purgerac, but he mostly gets called Mister Kitty, and we sing him lots of different songs that all go round the theme of him being Fat Kitty. Pretty much anything that scans will do. :) We don't actually dance with him though because he feels that is beneath his dignity and gets huffy. :)
