  2. I was wondering if FB has predators that attack the sheep? Does Bess spend her time with the sheep?

    1. Knock on wood, I have been VERY lucky in that regard. Bess spends a lot of time with the sheep, but she also spends a lot of time with me. I let her do whatever she wants. The sheep can also do what they want in terms of going in and out of the barn, and sometimes Bess will take a nap with them in the barn. However at night, Bess does not sleep in the house and spends very, very little time in the house, going days without entering in it. She mostly sleeps in my mudroom, with the door to outside wide open. She prowls around and barks in a very threatening manner at any coyote or fox noises. I am hoping that she is telling everyone out there to stay away from the sheep and chickens. So far, so good. However to be totally honest, to me, the most important thing is that BESS stays safe, as she owns major real estate in my heart!!

  3. The ewes and their lambs are adorable. Happy Mother's Day to all mothers, whether of 2 legged or 4 legged children.

  4. Gorgeous lambs! Also - I have those donkey fly masks too - and LOVE them! During "midge season," the donkeys won't come out of the barn without the on!
Will probably have to spring for a new set next year though but they have lasted for several seasons - very well made!
