"HEY MOM, what IS THE HORSE DOING WITH THAT HORRIBLE, NOISY CONTRAPTION?"
"I don't know Ramsey, I don't think I even want to look."
"dO YOU SUPPOSE SHE CAN'T HEAR ALL THE AWFUL NOISE IT'S MAKING? sHE DOES HAVE THOSE TERRIBLY SMALL EARS AFTER ALL. mAYBE THEY JUST DON'T WORK."
"It could be kid, I can't think of any other reason she'd want to be schmoozing with that thing. You know how she is though."
"AW JEEZ MOM, YOU DON'T THINK SHE'S GONNA FALL IN LOVE WITH THAT THING TOO DO YOU?"
"Looks to me like it's already too late."
Tessa is one of those horses who make you realize that, even after 30+ years of owning horses, studying them, riding them, working with them, for them...there will always be a horse out there that will still surprise you. Her fascination with power equipment is just one of her little surprises. In the summer, when I mow the lawn, no matter where she is, she comes at a dead run every time I start the lawn mower. I have to be careful how I mow so I won't run into her or let the clippings fly in her face. The snow-blower is just her latest fancy. Too bad she can't operate them for me.
Too bad that, regardless of all her fascination, she doesn't know how to fix them either seeing as the how the snow-blower broke down ten minutes after I took these photos.
OH no! I don't have a snow blower either, but ours at work is always shearing pins. Things mechanical really confuse me.
ReplyDeleteI should really study them though one day I may be the skid steer operator at our farm!
Did you get that snow?
Plus, my horse Cheyanne used to take my tools whenever I wasn't looking and hide them.
Animals are fantastic.
This reminds me of a lolpic I have:

oh, no! tessa is too cute, though.
ReplyDeleteha ha that is so funny
ReplyDeletea love affair with machines
She is too funny!
ReplyDeleteHilarious! Odd an animal would pay no attention to the noise. You realize, of course, that equipment like snow blowers never die when you're finishing up with them ;)
ReplyDeleteLove this! I have a cat that runs to our front window to watch the street sweeper go by, while the other cat runs away.
ReplyDeleteAlways so interesting to see their personalities via what they are interested in and scared of!
ReplyDeleteTessa makes me smile.
ReplyDeleteRamsey looks like he is glued to his mom's side. Your animals are so cute!
ReplyDeleteOh Tessa you really do have odd taste in love interests.... each to their own :-)
ReplyDeleteBummer on the snow-blower. You need that for a while longer. It makes you wonder if the horse likes the smell of the engines or she associates them with you. Our cats will gravitate to things we like and use.
