Sunday Stills - Through a Frame

I don't know if this photo will show very well on the web, but if you look close, you will see a bunch of deer on the crest of the knoll.

Tanner doesn't think he has been making into enough photos lately, of course he doesn't make things easy because he hates having the camera pointed at him.  It's a Border Collie thing.

It's sap season in NY, this is at my friend's farm a few miles from here.  We spend a lot of time slogging through the woods emptying these buckets.  Last year, there were about 500 of them.

These were taken on a trip to Chimney Mountain in the Adirondacks a few years ago.  I included this first one just to show the "frame"...

  1. The view it's georgeus.What do you use sap for?

  2. The sap is collected from maple trees and boiled down to make maple syrup. It takes about 40 gallons of sap to make one gallon of syrup.
