lol....in the fall, the 2 night time boys run out of the barn straight to the fence next to the persimmon tree. The tree is in the yard but will drop some persimmons in the pasture.
There is so much smacking going on. They love them.
We used to have an enormous apple tree in the middle of a paddock surrounded by blackberry bushes - the horses ate a lot of apples, I ate a lot of berries. Win/Win.
