Thwarted Tyrant

Ramsey and Tessa have a bit of rivalry going on.  Although, maybe it's more accurate to say that Ramsey does.  He would like to be King of the World.

He knows better than to mess with his mom though.  He was brought up better than that.  He also knows better than to try to push me around.  He was brought up better than that as well.  Connor won't have anything to do with anybody of the equine persuasion.  Ramsey can push the cat around, but she just runs off, so where is the fun in that?

That leaves Tessa - who mostly ignores him.  Mostly.

"Move horse, this is MY hay."

 "MOVE i SAY!!  IT'S MINE!"

"Oh fine, you aren't worth the trouble to squash you little pipsqueak."

"Ha Ha, I win."

Later that day.....

"Oh, if only I could reach...I do so love White Pine."

"Ha Ha Pipsqueak, I win."

  1. Herd dynamics are so fun to watch! I see these types of stories played over and over again in the pasture. Thank you for this!

  2. Ramsey wouldn't happened to be spoiled would he? Those ears laid back like he might be mean. :) I still love him...I still want a Ramsey!

  4. It was a interesting summer a few years ago when my 10 month old jenny foal, Attitude Annie, decided she was going to take over being boss of the herd of 6. By the end of the summer, she had made it up to the number two spot!! Her mom was, and still is number one. :-)

  5. Tessa is just too much of a lady to engage in playground brawls...

  6. Hi Kris! I haven't been by in a long time, but it sure was nice to make a couple of clicks and become reacquainted, with your little herd. It kind of felt like visiting home after moving away. I need to stop by more often. They all look great! Hope you are doing well. :)
