20 Below Miserable

"Hey Bloggy peoples, its me, your very favoritest donkey blogger."

"I'm taking over cause Ma is in a bad mood and whining about it being 20 below miserable last night and the water thingy freezing again.  Boy oh boy, that contractor guy who promised to fix this thing and never showed up (AGAIN) sure oughta be glad he's not here today! Of course, he's never here.  That's the problem, hee, hee. You know, I think Ma used up her whole week's swear word quota today."

"I don't know why Ma is upset though really, she keeps saying we all need more exercise.  Well, carrying all those water buckets oughta be good for her right?  And they do say one should lead by example.  Me, I think I'm gonna just stay here in this little bit of sun and observe all the example setting."

"Oh, and Ma, could you make sure that water is warm please? You know that's how we like it best."

"Bye bloggy peoples, stay warm."

  4. Tell your momma that she's allowed to use up this week AND next weeks swear words for workers that don't show up. It would be like if she just failed to feed you one day. :)
I hope it warms up and the water manages to thaw a bit. My donkeys like warm water, too.

  5. Maybe after your contractor does finally show up, and get the work done...you could ahem, not be able to find your checkbook for a couple of weeks (?) What do you think he'd think about that??
You must be in the East? I've been reading blogs in the NE where the temps are really, really low and have snow like yours...that's a bit too cold. We're in the NW and we haven't even had a winter yet. Little cold snap in mid Nov, tons of rain in Dec with tropical temps and overall drier than usual and warm. Our skiers are voicing their objections quite loudly about no snow in the mountains! Gonna be a dry summer if we don't get some snow. Oh well, what's a person to do?? Hope you warm up soon, chores are always so much more work when everything's frozen.

  8. I think your Mom is looking to find some new swear words for the dastardly dimwit contractor that failed to show. Perhaps he froze? That would be awful, but no shows are so frustrating. You both are so cute, enjoy that sunlight!!! We feel for your Mom

  9. I am so sorry . . . I wish I could send you some of our unseasonably warm Oregon weather. Perhaps the contractor had freezing issues beyond his control, but that still does not excuse him not contacting you about it! My husband is a chimney sweep, and if they are unable to get to someone because of weather, he contacts them ahead of time. I hope your contractor (if he is still your contractor!) makes good on his "customer service". Sending you warm thoughts, Lisa

  10. When the hydrant freezes up it is no easy task to carry all that water. We've run hoses from the house, easier than carrying but a real mess to deal with.
