Happy Valentine's Day.

Physical Therapy

Ramsey's foot is doing well, he is mostly sound on it now.  The tendon in that leg is still a bit tight though.  No one is quite sure why his tendon contracts in such a short time, but it does - it's Ramsey.  The only thing to do for it is to encourage him to move around and use it so it will loosen up.  Since hunting season is finally over and he is sound again, that means we finally get to head out into the woods for some much needed physical therapy.

No PT session would be complete without a little reward afterward right?

Claiming the reward is not without its perils however.  Pull just a little too hard and you end up with a pile of snow dumped down your back.  Don't you just hate that?

It's best to stand back and contemplate the problem for a moment before diving in...

....and sneaking up on the issue from the side seems to be the best option....

....though not always entirely successful.

A Jolly Good Time

"Look, the CrazySheepLady brought us a present."

"We have to think of a way to keep it away from that blasted puppy creature."

"Do you suppose we could hide it somewhere?"

"We don't have to hide it, I dare that puppy to come steal MY Jolly Ball, this was MY present!"

"If he tries it, I'll just bonk him on the head.  Just like this....!" BONK

Two Years!

Can you believe it?  Its been two years since I got up one morning after the longest foal-watch in history to find this little guy already up and ready to tackle the world. 

Tackle the world he has too.  I don't think there is a single heart he's ever met that hasn't melted at his feet.

No matter how much he's grown though, he hasn't changed much.

He is still the lovable,

tolerant,

pesky,

rambunctious,

little fiend who is into everything.

He still loves his mommy,

wants to help with every job,

thinks he is going to grow up to be BIG,

but knows that whatever size he is, is just the right size.

The world is his playground,

and everybody had better be willing to play with him,

because he never wants to take "no" for an answer.

Except when he's sleeping of course.

He and Emma have brought a great deal of brightness into the world.

Along with a great deal of worry,

stress

heartache,

and triumph.

We have learned a lot together

and have had an awful lot of fun doing it.

There are few things in life that are as much fun as raising a baby donkey.
